Jacob Teitelbaum

Jacob E. Teitelbaum (born April 21, 1952) is an American physician and author with a special interest in chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.
==Biography==

Teitelbaum was born in 1952 in Ohio. His parents, Sabina and David, were Holocaust survivors who immigrated to the United States after World War II. He studied medicine at Ohio State University, graduating in 1977. While in medical school, he developed chronic fatigue syndrome, which led him to drop out for a year to recover.〔Teitelbaum, J., From Fatigued to Fantastic!, page xviii, Avery Penguin Group, 2007〕 Since then, he has focused his medical career on the understanding and treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.
He has authored several research papers and books on chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and pain management, designed nutritional supplements to help those suffering from these illnesses, and developed a patented diagnostic software tool to evaluate a patient and prescribe a treatment program tailored to their specific needs.
Teitelbaum lives with his wife Laurie in Kona, Hawaii. He maintains a website, (www.endfatigue.com ).
